Nowadays, applications of glass in construction are highly variable. A world without glass as a building material is no longer imaginable. The average house has a glass surface area of 15-20 m2. Aside from windows and doors, glass is also used in bathrooms, kitchens, staircases and even as façade cladding. As glass is widely used, it will often have to be bonded or sealed.

Compared with other building materials, the expansion coefficiency of glass is limited. This makes it necessary to use high-performance elastic products to guarantee a long service life once connected to other building materials. Whether it be insulation glass, anti-burglary glass, safety glass, fire-resistant glass, coated glass or monument glass, Den Braven offers a high-performance sealant and adhesive product range for every glass type and application.

The Den Braven glazing sealants all have the necessary CE marking (EN 15651-2). During the development of these products Den Braven actively collected market feedback. The end-users consider the application of the product priority number one, whereas the client believes that durability and quality are the key starting points.

Windows
For window frames, mainly timber frames, Den Braven offers sealants, adhesives and fillers. Unique in its kind is the Zwaluw Repox. This timber repair compound is directly applied from a cartridge without mixing and pre-treatment primer but yet environmentally friendly, durable and elastic. For the installation of window frames Den Braven is able to offer the standard portfolio with polyurethane foam and sealants and also the more sophisticated portfolio of the Air Tight Building & Passive House portfolio.
